The Python programming language is freely licensed. That means that
it can be used for your project without paying for a license just to
use it. There are also additional scripts that are free to use and may
possibly be used to speed up the development of your project.

Python was created in the late 1980's. It has been updated and maintained
for many years to keep up with changing technology and security requirements.
Python is written in C but one of the benefits is that it doesn't take as
long to develop a project in Python as compared to creating the same thing
in C.

Since Python is used world-wide there is also world-wide support. It is
one of the highest ranked programming languages in the world.
